Prime Network (USA) was a backdrop programming service for over 20 affiliated regional sports networks (RSNs) in the USA during the early 1990s. It was replaced by FOX Sports Net in 1996.

Claudine Douville became the 1st woman in the world regardless of language or nationality to present and commentate top flight English football when she called play-by-play commentary of the Everton v Manchester United 1995 English FA Cup Final on May 20, 1995 off tube (off monitor) from the studio of Le Reseau des Sports (RDS) in Montréal, Quebec, Canada.
Douville was partnered on RDS with French sports journalist Jean Gounelle for the first time after her former broadcaster Georges Schwartz had retired.
Douville and Gounelle are still broadcast partners for "le soccer" on the networks of RDS as of December 2020.

At the time of the broadcast, TSN had NOT been regionalized into TSN 1 (British Columbia), TSN 3 (Alberta, Sasketchewan, Manitoba), TSN 4 (Ontario except Ottawa) and TSN 5 (Ottawa, Quebec and the Maritimes). Regionalization did not occur until 2014.
