Match was originally scheduled to be played in Saudi Arabia in December 2023, but was cancelled due to complaints about the use of Turkish iconography in the stadium.
In protest at the running of Turkish football, Fenerbahçe originally fielded their U-19 team in the replayed fixture. Fenerbahçe then conceded in the first minute, before walking off the pitch. Galatasaray were awarded the win and the Super Cup.
