Who is Daz Hale?

The presenter behind the microphone has been a fixture on BBC Radio WM for years, working as a radio presenter under the BBC Worldwide banner out of the West Midlands. He has described himself as a "Wolves fan," fitting for someone delivering football commentary week in, week out.

His radio career began long before he landed on BBC Radio WM. According to his own online biography, Daz Hale's first show as a presenter came in 1997 on the "5-Live" magazine programme "The Way Out," where he stood in for Samantha Meah—who happened to be getting married that day. Hale and Meah have since gone on to host the BBC Radio WM Breakfast Show together, more than two decades later.

A former postman born in Cannock in 1968, Daz Hale also formed a band called "The Moneygods" while he was young—a group he has noted was still performing during the last few years of its existence. He continues to bring his signature style to match commentary, and you can read more about his career on his EverybodyWiki biography.
