Watch Houston Dash v Washington Spirit on NWSL+ International and Roku Sports Channel

The fifth edition of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) kicks off tonight, 5 October 2026, when Houston Dash takes on Washington Spirit. For British viewers, the action is available live across two channels: NWSL+ International (geo/R) and Roku Sports Channel. Neither is one of the usual British or worldwide feeds you might expect, but both are carrying full commentary for the match, so you can follow the whole thing from a sofa in Britain without leaving the country.

The two teams make for a classic pairing once more. Houston Dash and Washington Spirit are the kind of complementary pair that has dominated the NWSL's history, and this is the kind of heavyweight clash the league is known for. If you are new to the format, the NWSL is a global competition in which two teams of players take turns to play against one another across a season-long schedule, and tonight's matchup is one of the most anticipated of the cycle.

Who is commentating

The commentary lineup splits neatly across the two channels, with a mix of veteran voices and fresher faces lending their analysis. On Roku Sports Channel, the main commentator is JP Dellacamera, backed by co-commentator Jill Loyden. On the world feed behind NWSL+ International, the main commentator is Josh Eastern, with McCall Zerboni taking the co-commentator role.

JP Dellacamera is the one to watch if you want a legend on the mic. He has been described as the soundtrack of the 1999 Women's World Cup final, and is widely regarded as one of the very best American soccer commentators around. As part of the announced lineup for the 2026 FIFA World Cup coverage, JP Dellacamera has been paired as a veteran voice alongside the commentators, so he is bringing plenty of pedigree to tonight's role on Roku Sports Channel.

Jill Loyden rounds out the Roku Sports Channel team. She is a well-established name in the commentary world, appearing across several of the NWSL channels including NWSL+ International and NWSL+ USA, and she has built up a strong presence in the stats that track who commentates most across the circuit.

The world feed

NWSL+ International (geo/R) draws on the world feed, and tonight's main commentator there is Josh Eastern. He is another name that turns up repeatedly across the NWSL channels, so he is a reliable and familiar presence for anyone who has been following the league's commentary over recent seasons.

His partner, McCall Zerboni, is the co-commentator bringing things out on the world feed. He is a comparatively newer name in the commentary statistics, which means tonight's pairing offers a nice blend of the experienced and the emerging as the match plays out.

Where to watch

If you want the veteran American commentary, head to Roku Sports Channel for JP Dellacamera and Jill Loyden. If you would rather follow the world feed directly, NWSL+ International (geo/R) has Josh Eastern and McCall Zerboni on hand. Both channels are running the full match tonight, so you can pick whichever lineup suits your taste and follow Houston Dash against Washington Spirit from start to finish.
