Real Betis v Getafe in La Liga will be shown in the UK and Ireland on LaLiga TV International HD, with coverage also listed on Premier Sports 1 HD, Premier Sports 2 HD for ROI viewers, and Premier Sports Player UK for streaming subscribers.[4][13] The 18:00 UK kick-off on Thursday 17 September 2026 gives British fans a prime early-evening slot to catch one of Spain’s most watched top-flight fixtures.[7][13]
The world feed commentary comes from Bruno Bergareche on main commentary and Guillem Balagué as co-commentator, a pairing that should suit viewers who prefer expert Spanish football analysis.[1][2] Balagué is one of the best-known Spanish football voices in Britain, having worked as an award-winning football author, journalist and presenter, with regular appearances across BBC Radio 5 Live, LaLiga TV and Spanish media.[9][14] Bergareche is also a familiar LaLiga TV world-feed name, appearing frequently on the channel’s international coverage and regularly contributing to Premier Sports broadcasts across Spanish football.[1][2]
That combination fits the current Premier Sports-LaLiga setup in the UK, where the broadcaster has long leaned on specialist Spanish football talent to cover the league.[3][10][11] LaLiga’s own broadcaster information confirms that LaLigaTV is available in the United Kingdom through Premier Sports, while Irish viewers can access it via Sky Ireland’s Sports Extra pack.[4] For fans who prefer to stream, the Premier Sports Player UK remains part of the options for live coverage.[4][13]
Real Betis continue to be one of La Liga’s most popular watchable sides, especially at home, while Getafe are typically associated with a compact, disciplined style that can make their matches tactically intriguing.[7][13] This meeting is a good example of why LaLiga TV’s world-feed presentation has developed such a following in the UK: the match is framed not just as a live broadcast, but as a full expert-led football conversation with broadcasters who know the Spanish game inside out.[2][3]
Balagué’s career has made him a particularly recognisable figure to British audiences. He helped bridge Spanish football and UK coverage during the era of major La Liga programming on British television, and he remains closely associated with Spanish football debate in English.[9][11][14] Bergareche, meanwhile, has built a strong reputation within LaLiga’s world-feed ecosystem, where his regular appearances reflect the channel’s preference for commentators who can deliver clear, neutral coverage to an international audience.[1][2][3]
For viewers searching for where to watch Real Betis v Getafe, the clearest answer is Premier Sports and LaLiga TV International HD in the UK, with Irish coverage also available on Premier Sports 2 HD.[4][13] The official LaLiga broadcaster page is a useful reference for the current rights setup and channel availability.[4]
More broadly, this fixture underlines how La Liga coverage in Britain has evolved into a specialist product aimed at fans who want strong commentary, tactical insight and consistent access to Spain’s elite league.[3][10][11] With Bruno Bergareche and Guillem Balagué on commentary, the broadcast should deliver exactly that.[1][2]
