Vitória host Atlético Paranaense in the second leg of their Copa do Brasil round-of-16 tie on 7 August 2026, with the match listed for 00:00 UK time at the Estádio Manoel Barradas in Salvador, Bahia.[1][8][9] British fans looking for live coverage should note that the broadcast is on Rádio TMC, with Elísio Júnior leading commentary.[1]
The tie has already swung in Atlético Paranaense’s favour after they won the first leg 2-0 in Curitiba, meaning Vitória need a strong home performance to overturn the deficit.[4][8][19] ESPN’s competition listings also show Atlético Paranaense going into the away leg with that two-goal advantage on aggregate.[8]
Elísio Júnior is the main commentator for Rádio TMC’s coverage, giving this match a clear radio-first feel for audiences following the Copa do Brasil from the UK. While the provided sources do not include a detailed biography of Júnior, his top billing on the broadcast suggests he is the lead voice for the station’s match coverage.[1]
For context, Vitória’s run into this stage came after the CBF draw paired them with Athletico in the last 16, with local outlet ge.globo noting that the Bahia side would decide the tie at home.[9] That backdrop adds extra weight to a fixture that is as much about survival as progression, especially with Vitória needing to chase the aggregate score from the first whistle.[9][19]
The match is part of a competition that remains one of Brazil’s biggest knockout events, and current schedules place it firmly in the early hours for UK viewers and listeners.[1][8] If you are tracking the competition more broadly, the tournament overview is available through the official Copa do Brasil background reference for historical context.
With the tie finely poised only in the sense of Vitória’s need to respond, the key broadcast detail for UK readers is simple: Rádio TMC has the commentary, and Elísio Júnior is the main voice for a decisive Copa do Brasil night in Salvador.[1][8]
